The care and the attention arrive together.
Every visit brings skilled bodywork and real conversation, from the same person, in the same hour, together.
Most people who care for older adults work either with the body or with words. With a massage therapist, the conversation usually stays on the body. With a companion or a coach, the body waits outside the conversation. I do both, because that's how you live them: as one thing. Touch is a way of asking your body a question. Conversation is a way of hearing the answer.
We start from what you'd like more of
Steady on your feet. Comfortable through the night. Easy in the shoulders. Someone to really talk to. At our first conversation, I'll ask what you'd like more of, and we work from your answer. Your body gets a say in every visit, and so do you.
In practiceWhat a visit looks like
- Before we meet, we talk on the phone. You can ask me anything. We decide together whether I come to you or you come to my studio in Beaconsfield.
- I bring what's needed: a massage table, a massage chair or a zero gravity chair. We choose which one before the visit.
- You stay dressed. For reflexology, only your feet are bare.
- A visit lasts 75 minutes. If something needs a little more time to come to a natural close, we take it, at no extra cost.
- We begin with how you are today. Then comes the hands-on work. The conversation carries on through it, or settles into quiet if that suits you better.
- Every visit should feel good in your body, not only mean something.
- Visits are weekly or every second week, whichever suits you.
The bodywork
Reflexology
Rest comes first. Work on the feet helps the whole body settle, and many people find it deeply restful.
Chair massage
Seated and fully clothed, for the neck, shoulders and back. An easy way to begin.
Gentle movement
Small, careful movement, so you feel steady and move more freely. Pain is usually a request for attention rather than an argument.
Lymphatic drainage
A light, rhythmic massage that supports circulation and helps with swelling. Available from February 2027.
The reflective work
Finding the thread
Going back through your life carefully enough to see its shape: the turning points, the people who mattered, what each one taught you.
Writing for yourself
Writing things down, privately, as a way of thinking them through.
Quiet practices
Breathing, relaxation and meditation, to hear your own instincts again.
Creative and expressive work
Drawing, colour and other hands-on ways of saying what words can't reach yet.
Going inward with guidance
Guided imagination, sometimes meeting your older, wiser self and asking them something.
Nothing here is required. We use what suits you.
This is complementary care. It works alongside your medical care, and decisions about your health and medication always stay with you and your physician.
One to one, or in a small group.
Individual accompaniment
One-to-one visits, at home or at the studio. A single visit, a short introduction, or the full eight-visit arc.
The Sens & Souffle Circle
A small group in Beaconsfield that meets weekly for eight weeks, starting December 2026.
The best way to know if this is for you is a conversation.
